1. First Things First – What do you want?
If you don’t already have a catalog, samples kit and a quote from us, please call our use our quote request form. We’ll be happy to send them to you (they’re free!) and help you decide on what you need for your project. We know we have many, many choices available to you and we’re here to help you pick the best ones for your needs.

2. What do you have?
Do you have specific pictures you want to use? Credits, lyrics, or text? Perhaps you’ve got a friend or know a graphic designer who will help you with your designs? All these questions are important! Deciding on what you want in your project is also something we can help you with. The Gate also provides many packages that include full design services—just send in your “raw materials,” give us an idea of the vision you have, and we’ll create a custom one-of-a-kind design for you.

3. What to send & how to send it.
You’ll want to look over our design checklist and specifications when you’re getting your materials together. This way you’ll know the best format to send your material to us. We’ll also be glad to help you with this part of the process, especially if you’re having someone other than The Gate do design work for you. It’s also good to call if you’re having us do any mastering or post-production on your music. 1-800-655-1625

4. Placing your order.
At this point, you’ll need to fill out the order forms and copyright paperwork.

When you’re ready to send all your materials for your project, we HIGHLY recommend sending it through UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, or the Postal Service’s Express Mail. Why? Your project is important and valuable! Sending it using a service that provides a tracking number for your package will help it arrive at The Gate and not be lost.

5. Now what?
Once we receive your order, we will either call you or e-mail you to confirm we’ve received it. (And if you send it with a tracking number, companies such as UPS let you track your package on-line! You’ll know when it gets here as soon as we do!) After we receive your order we will set it up to be manufactured. If we find something that needs your attention, we’ll call. Once your designs are complete we will e-mail you a color proof.

Turnaround times:
5 to 7 business days for basic graphic design. 7 to 10 business days for custom illustration. 3 to 5 business days for provided completed designs to proofing. 7 to 10 days for post-production and mastering. 12 to 14 business days for final project manufacturing.
